About Athens Boathouse Bar & Grill

 

Athens Boathouse is a wonderful place to eat. We offer a warm, unpretentious and friendly atmosphere with excellent Southern inspired food and drink, with an amazing view of Lake Athens. The Boathouse is both a casual family restaurant with a relaxed dining room and a bar/ lounge where fishermen can come relax and enjoy a cold beer after a day on the lake.

 

Paying homage to traditional Mississippi Delta cuisine and culture, the menu features elevated southern traditional specialties made with as much locally grown produce and proteins as possible. Featuring Delta and Low Country classics such as Mississippi farmed raised catfish and Texas brown shrimp, and Louisiana gumbo. The menu also focuses on Texas classics; juicy cheeseburgers made from ground chuck and short rib, bacon wrapped jalapenos. Our desire is to appeal to a diverse crowd, so fresh salads, fresh grilled fish and steaks are also offered.

 

The bar menu will focus on local craft beers from breweries in Texas. We also offer specialty cocktails that represent our concept with a southern flair. The wine list is simple but elegant.
